Free ATMs for bars and nightclubs.
Cover at the door, cash tabs and tips: plenty of nightlife still runs on cash. An ATM inside lets guests get it without leaving — which keeps lines moving and the night on the premises.
The case for cash
Why an ATM makes sense for a bar or nightclub.
Looking for an ATM for your bar? With BayTM’s free placement program there is nothing to buy or lease: we supply the machine, install it, load our own cash and service it, with no monthly fee and no minimum volume. When guests have to leave to find an ATM, some come back later and some don’t. For venues that charge cover, run cash-only specials or have guests who prefer to close out in cash, an on-site ATM removes a common reason people step out mid-night.
BayTM places, loads and services ATMs in bars, pubs, lounges and nightclubs across California. The machine, the cash and the service are ours. Your only job is to point people to it.
Where cash shows up
Where cash comes up.
- I
Cover charges and door minimums
A cash-only door is faster and cheaper than swiping cards at midnight. An ATM in the entry vestibule means nobody gets turned away for lack of cash.
- II
Cash for tips
Guests who like to tip in cash can do it without leaving the room. How tips are handled and reported stays exactly as your business does it today.
- III
Split tabs and settling up
Groups often settle up in cash. When a guest would rather pay that way, the ATM gives them another option on site — subject, as always, to their own bank approving the withdrawal.

Placement
Where we’d put it
- Near the entrance or coat check, visible from the door, so guests can get cash before they reach the bar.
- Away from the dance floor and speaker stacks — customers need to hear prompts and feel safe entering a PIN.
- Well-lit and covered by your existing cameras, which also helps deter tampering.
Operations
How we run it
- Late-night volume is high on Fridays and Saturdays, so we schedule cash loading to land before the weekend, not after.
- Our support line is available 24/7. If the machine needs attention late at night, you call us — not the other way around.
- Receipt couponing can print a “bring this back Thursday” offer on every withdrawal.
Questions
Questions we hear from bars and nightclubs.
Can the ATM handle a busy Saturday night?
Yes. We size the cash load to your traffic and monitor levels remotely, and we schedule loading ahead of your busiest nights so the machine doesn’t run dry when it matters most.
Is an ATM safe to have in a nightlife venue?
Modern ATMs are heavy, anchored, and monitored around the clock. We recommend placing the machine in a well-lit spot covered by cameras, and the cash inside is our responsibility, not yours.
Do bars need an ATM?
No law requires one, but many bars find it useful. If you charge cover at the door, run cash-only specials or have regulars who tip in cash, an ATM on site means guests don’t have to leave to get it. For a card-only cocktail bar it may matter less; we’ll tell you honestly during the location review. Our guide is an ATM worth it for your business? walks through the questions to ask.
How much does it cost to put an ATM in a bar?
With free placement, $0: no charge for the machine, installation, cash loading, maintenance or repairs, and no monthly fee. Guests pay a convenience fee shown on screen before they confirm.
Where should an ATM go in a bar?
Usually just inside the entrance or by the coat check, where guests can see it from the door and use it before they reach the bar. Keep it away from speakers and the dance floor, in good light and within camera view. For more on picking the spot, see where to place an ATM in your business.
We already have an ATM that keeps running out. Can you replace it?
Very often, yes. Tell us about your current contract and we’ll walk you through switching. Empty machines and unanswered service calls are the most common reasons venues come to us.
